Maggie
started it all. Vicki kept talking about this dog she saw that was larger
than the other dogs with big flopping cheeks. So I finally figured out that
she was talking about English Mastiffs. I found a good stock and got the
pick of the litter. It says on her AKC registration that she is fawn but she
turned out to be apricot. It is hard to tell what a dog will be when they
are only a few weeks old but Maggie found a home.
Maggie loves to ride in cars or trucks. If the gate is open, she
doesn’t run away, she runs to the car. If the door is open, she is in it
immediately and ready to go.
Maggie is too good to sit on the floor. She loves to sit in chairs,
couches and benches. She doesn’t care if she fits or if you may be sitting
there first. She thinks that God made all chairs for her to sit in. Vicki
had me build a deck around her air conditioned dog house so she didn’t have
to sit on the ground. It is hilarious.
Vicki couldn’t stand the thought of Maggie not being in her life
someday so that is when we made a decision to find her a mate and keep one
of her girls. That way a piece of Maggie will always live on with us.
Now we have Layla, Maggie’s daughter. She has Maggie’s big head and
beautiful color along with her father’s (Zeus) height.
