Terms of possession and Stud service
Price:
Purchasing the puppy is just a small expense
compared to the overall cost of having an English Mastiff. If the purchase
price is a problem, you can’t afford an English Mastiff.
This dog eats quite a lot
while growing up but even the older
male dogs can put away a 33 pound bag of dog food a week. Monthly heart worm
preventative is 2-3 times the
expense of a regular dog. Don’t
think that breeding them is a way to make money. It only offsets a small
portion of the overall cost, risks the life of your female and it is very,
very time consuming. But the rewards are worth the cost, if you can afford
an English Mastiff of superior stock.

Shipping is additional,
however, it is preferred that you pick them up in person. They are worth the
trip.

The last name of all
show quality puppies must feature the name of our kennel “Barker”.

Female must be approved
and must conform to the AKC standard for stud service.

Stud service guarantee
means that if the insemination does not “take” the first time then you are
entitled to one additional insemination session at the very next heat. Also,
dogs are susceptible to STDs so your female must be vet approved and AKC
registered. The female must come to our facility and stay at least 3 days.
Bring her favorite food. We suggest Eagle Pack. Reservations must be made at
least a month in advance with a deposit of $500.00. We must prepare for our
guest. The remaining balance must be paid in cash upon arrival (no checks or
credit cards).

All of our puppies are
guaranteed for one year from birth against death due to a genetic defect.
That means that upon acceptable proof from a licensed veterinarian that our
puppy died from a genetic defect within the first year of birth, we will
replace that puppy with a pup from the next batch of equal or greater value.
Accidents aren’t covered and proof that all of the vaccinations were
administered will be required. We are friends of mastiffs and mastiff owner
as with all dogs and dog owners but we have the final decision if there is a
dispute in all matters. We like to think that we are in it with you and will
do whatever is fair to make things right if anything ever comes up (it never
has yet).

Puppies must be seven (7) weeks old to be picked up. Airlines will not allow
them to travel until they are eight (8) weeks old. All payment must be
received in full two (2) weeks prior to adoption.

To secure the pick of
the litter a $1,000 deposit is required which goes toward the purchase price
and is non refundable. First come, first served. You must make your pick at
the fifth week so others can pick theirs shortly thereafter. Failure to make
the pick on the fifth week and we will make the pick, in your absence, based
on your criteria.

We would appreciate
keeping in touch and receiving updates and pictures. We really love our pups
and consider them family.
